Spencer Platt | Getty ImagesThe stock market could hit a milestone if the Dow Jones Industrial Average reaches 40,000. However, even as stocks have climbed higher, investors are worried there could be a pullback, financial advisors say. For investors who have gravitated toward cash, certificates of deposit, or bonds, a pullback may be an opportunity to deploy those funds in the market, Kourkafas said. "The stock market is a long-term investment," said Jenkin, who is also a member of CNBC's Financial Advisor Council. That may be done through a fund that reflects global market capitalization, such as the Vanguard Total World Stock ETF.

CNN —A man armed with guns and explosive devices was found dead of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound at a Colorado amusement park, potentially averting “an attack of devastating proportions,” officials said. The 20-year-old’s body was found in a women’s bathroom Saturday morning before the scheduled opening time of the Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park in Glenwood Springs, the Garfield County Sheriff’s Office said. Investigators also found a “very well-put-together” fake IED in Medina’s car, in addition to a real explosive device, Vallario said. Patches affiliated with law enforcement groups were found, the sheriff said, but investigators don’t know how Medina got them. With the volume of weapons, ammunition and explosive devices Medina had, he “could have done a tremendous amount of damage,” the sheriff said.

EasyJet announced the order after forecasting annual profit of 440 million to 460 million pounds ($542-$567 million), and said it would restart its dividend, signalling that its recovery from the pandemic was now in full flow. Reuters gained exclusive access to the exhibit at the Mexican capital's Templo Mayor Museum before it opened. Most of the pieces on display were excavated from the ruins of the Aztecs' holiest shrine, now adjacent to the museum. "These are very fragile objects, very delicate," said exhibit curator Maria Barajas, standing next to a lineup of small carved masks. Most wooden artifacts quickly decompose and can only withstand the test of the time with constant temperature and moisture levels, Barajas said. REUTERS/Isabel Infantes/File Photo Acquire Licensing RightsCompanies Easyjet PLC FollowLONDON, Sept 6 (Reuters) - Decarbonisation efforts in the aviation sector will cost more money, but that cost should not fall to the consumer, easyJet Chief Executive Johan Lundgren said on Wednesday. He added that options to decarbonise, like creating sustainable aviation fuels, are not yet at scale and cost three to five times more than typical jet fuel. Lundgren also said a wide range of stakeholders including governments needed to chip in to ensure decarbonisation costs remain low. A lot of the cost will depend on the speed of innovation, which Lundgren is hopeful can mitigate price hikes.

Chicago's cycling community has exploded in recent years, and the city plans to add 150 more miles of lanes to accommodate this growth. The new, ambitious Chicago Cycling Strategy from the Chicago Department of Transportation, worth over $17 million, includes expanding Chicago's bike network by designing and implementing 150 miles of low-stress bikeways over the next several years. If you have friends that ride, ride together, if you have family members that are willing to ride, especially older ones, ride with them. Earlier in the pandemic, Chicago launched a program to give away 5,000 bikes to eligible Chicago residents by 2026. Green Corps participants have helped to assemble the bikes in the Bike Chicago program.

Airlines body urges jetmakers to fix aircraft delivery delays

Airlines "are not concerned about the macroeconomic environment, they're concerned about the access to spare parts for their existing aircraft and the delivery of new aircraft. "It's frustrating because airlines can see strong demand, but they're not able to match supply with demand in many markets. Airbus (AIR.PA) and Boeing (BA.N) have blamed supply chains for delivery delays, while bottlenecks in a network of engine repair shops have also forced airlines to ground dozens of jets. The gathering comes two weeks before the Paris Airshow, where supply pressures are likely to overshadow new orders. I'm a New York University student, and I just returned from my semester abroad in Madrid. Now that I'm back home in my NYC apartment, I realize I learned a lot from my semester abroad. I learned that language barriers were not a reason to stop talking, dim your personality, or expect others to accommodate you. Many students felt pressure to travel, and I did, too. Besides that, I was in Madrid — a global city with so much to see and learn.
